I can't find an oil and vinegar one from you here. Pardon me please for not notifying you about the question here. I guess I don't make kefir right, mine can be tart! lol Good hearing from you.

Hmmmmm...can't say I have made a salad dressing with kefir. I don't like creamy dressings, I prefer tart and bright. I can look around, though, see if I find any that are good.

Please pardon any tardiness on my part to answer requests such as this, or posts that are within the groups or discussions that are adressed to me. I don't get to get on as often as I'd like, and have several networks, groups, and such that I keep up with, as well as a lot of other things I tend to on line (farm and fiber business, studies, homeschooling stuff, etc). Don't dispair if you don't hear from me within a week of making a comment or request at me without posting it on my page directly! I do try to check in as often as I can, but can't always filter through all the groups, etc, and catch everything.

Yahaloma, would you give us a good recipe for kefir salad dressing and recommend a salad that goes well with it? Thank you.

I found this Dressing~~~~~~~~~~
All fancy recipes that are savory are based on three ingredients:

a fat (like olive oil)
an acid (like lemon juice)
a salt (like Celtic sea salt)

every other spice/herb you add will enhance the flavor, but the base listed above has to be present.

So the basic salad dressing would be:

1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup lime juice
2-3 pinches of sea salt or dulse flakes (or to taste)

Voila!!!

The rest of the creative herbs you add - oregano, sage, cayenne, etc. - is entirely up to you.

My twice/month VegiMeal:
A big (raw) green salad and tomatoes off the vine
Dressing of Fresh squeezed lemon juice, Bragg's apple cider vinegar or Eden brand unpasteurized grape vinegar and unheated unfiltered local honey
Italian plain semolina baguette type bread
Smothered in unpasteurized raw cultured butter from fully pasture grazed cows
That's it! Simple, delicious bounty :)
